Just recently, a booklet outlining the challenges of financing for Cultural and Creative Industries (ICCs) was produced within the framework of the WECD project. Flash-back on this relevant publication dedicated to making the world of finance aware of the value and potential of the ICCs.
At the end of 2012, Wallonia was appointed European Creative District by the European Union. A label awarded after a call for projects that it has won, together with Tuscany. The Walloon application deepens and develops Creative Wallonia, Wallonia's framework programme, which, through a series of actions, focuses on creativity and innovation as drivers of the transformation of the economy and society in its territory.
Wallonia, European Creative District, which extends from January 2013 to July 2015, develops an operational strategy centered around 4 priorities : Mutual transnational Policy Learning, Better Business Support, Better Financial Support and Facilitating clusters and networking activities.
Within this framework, five Walloon partners are working together to implement this project : the SPW/DG06 (lead partner),Wallonie Design,Start, the Agence Wallonne des Tlcommunications (AWT) and ID campus.
Just recently, these five partners have developed a booklet highlighting the challenges of financing for Creative Industries. This document analyzes the lines of work developed by ST'ART and its partners to build bridges between the world of ICCs and the world of finance through a better mutual understanding, thus highlighting the economic potential of the creative and cultural sector.
