Prototyping
What is this about?
By means of subsidies or a recoverable advance, Prototyping aims at supporting activities of experimental developing related to prototyping and to further development steps in view of commercialization.
Who is involved?
All innovative Walloon enterprises wishing to pass from the prototype phase to the product development phase before its commercialization.
More precisely?
This support is granted for the following domains:
- prototype design or pilot installation design. A prototype is defined as an original model built to understand all technical characteristics and performances of the future product. Pilot installation is related to the prototype except for its assignment. Whereas the prototype is meant to be commercialized in future, the pilot installation is meant to integrate the enterprise production tool in order to improve performance;
- realization of prototype and pilot installation testing;
- the last adjustments of these prototypes and pilot installations before commercialization.
As stand-alone, the enterprise can benefit from a recoverable advance (rates vary from 40% up to 60% of the eligible costs in function of the size of the enterprise 60 % for small companies, 50% for middle-sized companies and 40% for large enterprises).
In co-operation with other enterprises, the company can benefit from a subsidy or a recoverable advance. In this context, the rate for the recoverable advance is as follows: 75% for small companies, 65% for middle-sized companies and 55% for big enterprises. As for the subsidy, the rates are as follows: 60 % for small companies, 50% % for middle-sized companies and 40% for large enterprises.
