The Startup Weekend is an event where hundreds of developers, sales and marketing persons, investors and students gather for a challenge: create a startup in 54 hours.

During the Friday evening Pitch Fire , participants with an idea have one minute to present it. Next they can try to recruit other participants to make a team. Once the teams are formed, it is go time! Objective: build a prototype, identify a business model, find customers, ... in short, go through the various steps that are essential for creating a startup and presenting it to thejury Sunday night. For the entire week-end, the teams are assisted and advised by experienced mentors.

Launched in 2007, Startup Weekend is already one of the largest incubators for innovative projects in the world! In 2011 437 events where held in nearly 200 cities in 65 countries. Today Lige has joined the movement!

Startup Weekend is an American NGOs that grants licenses to individuals for organizing events on their behalf. We are four organizers (Philippe Modard, Jeremy Corman, Gregory Van Ass and Nicolas Paris) and we are not organized as a no-profit organization.
